Factoring
We explain how selling outstanding invoices to a factoring partner can turn slow-paying receivables into a steady, plannable income stream.
Factoring for healthcare providers
We are SozialFactoring GmbH, a Cologne-based team that helps healthcare providers understand and plan around factoring, healthcare finance, and receivables management. Our work is informational by nature: we describe how these financing approaches work so that hospitals, care homes, and outpatient services can make informed decisions with their own advisors.
What we cover
Our team spends its days explaining how factoring actually works inside healthcare organisations, from the first invoice to the last reconciled payment.
We explain how selling outstanding invoices to a factoring partner can turn slow-paying receivables into a steady, plannable income stream.
We describe the broader financial rhythms of hospitals, care homes, and outpatient practices, including how billing cycles interact with statutory insurers.
We walk through the practical side of managing open receivables, from dunning schedules to reconciliation, so nothing falls between the cracks.
Why we exist
We started SozialFactoring GmbH after watching too many capable care teams spend their energy chasing invoices instead of patients. Our founders came from banking and healthcare administration, and they shared a simple observation: the financing side of healthcare is often treated as an afterthought, even though it shapes almost everything an organisation can do.
Today, we spend our time gathering, organising, and sharing what we have learned about factoring and receivables management in the healthcare sector. We are not a bank and we do not process payments ourselves. Instead, we help providers understand their options clearly before they speak with a financing partner.
How we work
We lay out the mechanics of factoring plainly, including its costs and trade-offs, so nothing feels hidden in fine print.
Every example and explanation we share is grounded in the realities of clinics, care homes, and hospital administration.
We prefer slow, honest conversations with the providers we work alongside over quick, one-off transactions.
Receivables data is sensitive. We handle every example and case study with the same care we would want for our own records.
Reach out and we will walk you through the fundamentals, in plain language, with no obligation attached.
